Subject: Re: Permission of use

Hi, Diane,
Yes, you may use whatever you wish as long as it is not used commercially.
Please do not alter or change the images in any way, although you may soften or frame the edges.  Also, a link to my website would be appreciated.
Thanks for asking!
Sincerely,
Rusty

Sure thing.... Its been awhile since I have updated my site but there is still a lot of paintings left there. Just need to revamp some dead links but
have been unable  due to hectic schedule. Your welcome to do anything you want with them.  Have fun with it, I have seen what some of you do with stationary. Very awesome, and cool for special holidays.

Subject: Re: Permission of use

Hello
Thanks for writing and thanks for asking permission for the use of Paula's graphics on your website.  As many of you know Paula is under contract with two publishers.  Leisure Arts who does counted cross stitch charts and books of Paula's paintings and Newmark publishing who does limited edition prints of her work.  These publishers hold the copyrights to Paula's work.  We have been given permission to let people like yourself use these as long as they are not sold or printed out.
These may be used only on the internet or for email stationery but not printed in any way.  It is OK for you to use any of the graphics on her site as long as these rules are followed:

     1. If names are used the names of prints must not be changed
     2. images may not be used for any indecent or pornographic   sites or linked to those kind of sites.
     3. do not put anything which indicates who holds copyright; Paula's publishers holds these and not Paula but do not state this.
     4. do not print out or sell any of these images
     5. these can only be used on the internet for websites or email stationery

We would certainly appreciate any links back to her site or
acknowledgment of it being her work. They can not and must not be printed out and either sold or given away.  We are under the same restrictions on her work.  Anyone who is guilty of this will be turned over to the publishers attorneys. We appreciate your compliments and your support and asking for permission to use her graphics.  We hope you will understand and let us know if we can help.

Thanks So Much
Tommy & Paula

Hello Diane.   You may use any images copywritten to me (for noncommercial web use with copyright noted), but I cannot grant permission for you to use any images copywritten to Harlequin. To determine which images are copywritten to me and which to Harlequin, go to my web site, and click on each image. You will see the copyright notation at the bottom of the image. You will need the following information:
UserName:
Password:

I am in the process of redoing my web site, and within the next several weeks it will be easier to determine which images may be used for noncommercial web use. But right now, you'll have to look at each image.

Thanks for your interest in my work. Best of luck to you.

Dear Diane,
for a non-profit use I always permit to use my art since it's created to be shared in whatever possible way. Just put my name legible near the images and place an active link to my website (better if you use one of my banners which I'm sending you as attachment). When ready, send me
some samples of your work or a link of the work you finished using my images. That is all I want. Ciao from Italy,
Walter

Hi LadyDi
thank you for asking permission to use some of my artwork. I feel honored, specially after visiting your site, and having seen what you do with stationery. I love your site !!
I also saw your pages with the permission-letters from several artists...I like that !!
Please use my real name for the artists-name, with the bodhi-creations behind that , like this: Juliette Gribnau (bodhi-creations)

Please add the artist-name+link to my website on every stationery you offer, and tell people they aren't allowed to use them anyway else than the way you offer them !
thanx very much,
juliette gribnau

Hi Diane,

I am writing representing Isis Rising Gallery, Inc., sole representative of Gilbert Williams.  Please send me a list of the titles you are interested in and I will let you know if they are available for such use. We ask that you display the work as is, without the use of effects or image editing beyond simple cropping and enlargement. You may receive permission to use two (2) of Gilbert Williams images you list, providing you include a link to our site and the acknowlegement below.  Also, the copyright and link information must be included on the stationary itself.  In this way his images are protected as they go out with your emails.
