Hi, Diane,
Thank you for asking for my permission. You do beautiful
work. I am honored that you would like to use my art on your
not-for-profit website. You have my permission to do so.
Please be sure to include my name and website address in the
stationery itself, in a place that it is not easily removed.
Please do not alter the images, but you may remove any frames,
and may crop the image a bit , if you wish, and fade them into
your backgrounds. I wish you success with your new
stationery website.
Best wishes,

Subject: RE: Permission for using images
Dear Diane,
Thank you for inquiring about the use of my work on your
website.
You're welcome to use whatever images you like as long as you
adhere to
the guidelines that I've included below.
Thanks very much for caring about my work enough to use it and
share
with others through your site. Please spread the word!
All the best,
Tom Sierak
USE OF WORK
My images can be used ONLY for NON-commercial purposes.
One example of commercial (and unlawful) usage includes
building
websites for others for a fee, where my images are included,
without a
written agreement of some kind. There will also be no
sexual content
of any kind, written or visual on your pages involving my
work. I also
don't approve of my work being used to advance any social or
political agendas.
MODIFICATION
Please keep in mind that my paintings/compositions/stories are
meticulously planned and thought out. I realize the
temptation to use
parts of the paintings. If you feel it absolutely
necessary to use a
portion of a painting, then I can agree to that as long as the
complete/whole image is somewhere (noticeable) within the same
page. A thumbnail is fine.
Of course, I ask that you create a link back to my site as
well.
COPYRIGHT
Whenever you post my (or anyone's) copyrighted images on your
site you
should include a copyright notice. Please place a
copyright notice
(© 2003 Tom Sierak) near each image that you use. If
you have multiple
images grouped together, then "All Images © 2003 Tom
Sierak" will
suffice. (If you're using a PC, you can make a © symbol by
doing the
following: Make sure your numlock key is on. While
holding down you ALT key, type 0169 on you numbers pad, NOT
your keyboard pad.)
PRINTING / REPRODUCING
It is illegal to print, copy, or reproduce my paintings in any
way,
including desktop printouts for personal or private use.
PREVIEW
Please let me know when you have a sample ready for me
to view.
I look forward to seeing how you present my work. Also,
if you're using
the Moon & Back graphics, the pages have been modified a
bit at my
request to reflect copyright & disclaimer information.
Please make sure
that you use the updated pages.
TITLES
Lastly, I ask that you please make sure that the proper titles
of the
paintings are used. I have found that many people are
confused by the
set page title that is placed near the painting by the creator
of the
set(s). You can see my work and find the corresponding
painting(s) at
my own site:
www.tomsierak.com.
PS: If you know of any sites that are offering
webhosting services for
$ using my images, please let me know.

Thank you for your interest in using images from the artist
Danny Hahlbohm on your site. Although Danny does permit
the usage of his images, the following guidelines must be met
since these are copyrighted works of art by Mr. Hahlbohm and
international publishers.
1) If you desire to use the image in creating
other forms (ie. buttons,
backgrounds, banners, etc.,) they must be cleared first by Mr.
Hahlbohm
himself to insure the integrity of his work. Usually this is
not a problem,
most people share the same respect for the work as we do and
have actually created some fine works themselves.
2) The image is to be displayed at your site only.
Permission for use is
not granted for others to download off your site. They also
will need to
have permission as yourself for such usage. Those distribution
rights remain solely with the artist.
3) A notice of "Copyright by Danny Hahlbohm. All
rights reserved by the
artist." is to be posted along the image.
4) A link back to Inspired-Art at http://www.inspired-art.com
is posted
on the same page as the image.
If you wish to use images of Mr. Hahlbohm's, please
follow these
guidelines and advise us upon compliance. A banner to Mr.
Hahlbohm's site has been attached to use if you so desire.
Blessings!

Hi Diane,
Yes, you may use my artwork for your creations as long as you
have copyright (Beverley Lu) on the image and have a link back
to my site:
http://www.BeverleyLu.com
on each page you use my artwork.
Thank you for contacting me :) I would love to see them
when you're done :)

Can I use your art on my webpage?
Yes, if it is a non-profit page, and if you follow a few
simple requests I have:
- Please please PLEASE read the image descriptions, and if
it says the image is copyrighted to a third party, you
cannot use that art without contacting the copyright
holder. Do not ask me about these images, or about how to
contact the copyright holder. You can either follow the
links I have, or look them up on the internet yourself.
- Don't make any modifications to the image other than proportional
resizing. Read that line again. PROPORTIONAL! Sorry, but
so many people don't seem to understand that, no matter
now many times I say it, and seeing my art squished into
all kinds of odd sizes is terribly disturbing. So if you
use the art, don't squish it so it's fat or skinny or
whatever. It's meant to be a certain size. Keep it that
way.
- Don't link directly to the images on my site. This takes
my bandwidth and slows it down for viewers on your site as
well. Instead, right click and copy to your hard drive and
upload it to your own server.
- You must have a "©Stephanie Pui-Mun
Law" on any page you display my art. UNLESS the image
description on Shadowscapes indicates there is a copyright
to a third party involved. In which case, please respect their
copyrights and indicate such, along with an "art by
Stephanie Pui-Mun Law" in your credits.
- Lastly...I don't require this, but it makes for a very
grateful and happy artist if you choose to place a link
back to my galleries from your site. You can link to http://www.shadowscapes.com.
